In an engaging day of challenges and learning, datadyser, a leader in Auditing, Consulting, Training & DPD, had the honor of sponsoring for the second consecutive year the prestigious Cybersecurity Competition within the framework of the Premios Sinergias Digital by Sinergias Asociación. This event, held today at IES El Cañaveral in Móstoles, stands out for its strong commitment to promoting cybersecurity and its positive impact on the social, business, and educational fabric of Móstoles.
It is important to highlight that IES El Cañaveral is the only public high school in the Community of Madrid offering the Advanced Degree in Cybersecurity.
The competition featured 16 talented students from the Advanced Cybersecurity Degree at IES El Cañaveral, who faced capture-the-flag (CTF) challenges over a maximum of two hours. These tasks were designed to test their skills in realistic scenarios, requiring participants to obtain root privileges on a misconfigured WordPress installation—a common situation in the field of information security.
The enthusiasm and expertise were palpable, culminating in the victory of Alberto Pato Herranz, who secured first place and was awarded a specialized Cybersecurity course provided by Hack by Security. Close behind was Rubén Barrajón Sanz, who earned a well-deserved second place.
